Article (6): Years of Study
A- The duration of study at the Faculty of Computers and Information is at least three and a half years to obtain the Bachelor’s degree, according to the credit hour system. This allows students to choose courses that suit their interests and abilities, with the guidance of an academic advisor and the approval of the Dean.
B- The maximum duration of study is eight academic years (sixteen regular semesters: Fall and Spring). Approved suspension semesters are not counted within this limit.
Article (7): Credit Hours
A- The study is based on the credit hour system. A credit hour is the unit of measurement for a course.
B- Definition: Credit hours are calculated based on weekly contact hours as follows:
- Lecture: 1 hour/week = 1 credit hour
- Exercises: 2 hours/week = 1 credit hour
- Lab: 2 hours/week = 1 credit hour
Article (8): Semesters
A- The academic year consists of two regular semesters (Fall and Spring) and an optional Summer semester, subject to available resources and approval by the Faculty and Academy Council.
B- Regular semesters last 16-17 weeks, including exams.
C- The Summer semester is intensive, lasting 7-8 weeks with doubled contact hours, including exams.
D- A student may register for up to 6 credit hours in the Summer semester (two 3-credit courses). With the advisor’s recommendation and the Dean’s approval, this may be increased to 9 credit hours if it leads to graduation. Any further exceptions require Faculty Council approval.
Article (9): Graduation Requirements
- Students graduate in June, November, or January of each academic year.
- To obtain the Bachelor’s degree, a student must complete 138 credit hours.
- The student must pass all non-credit courses specified in the regulations.
- The minimum duration for graduation is three academic years (six semesters).
- The graduation project must be completed over two semesters.
- Practical training (internal or external) is mandatory for graduation but is not counted in the GPA.

1- Computer Science (General – Cybersecurity).
2- Information Systems (General – Data Science – Joint Degree with Belgorod University).
3- Software Engineering.
4- Artificial Intelligence.
The Faculty Council may add new departments or specializations with the approval of the Academy Council.
